Danial, her brother Doug, his daughter Kaiya, and I all paddled over to Captain Cook's Monument and had a great afternoon snorkelling....

November 4, 2014 - 113 Days Old

Kadin's first experience in the ocean!  He loved watching the small waves surge into the little protected tide pool we found.  He actually fell asleep while I was holding him in my lap, half submerged in the water.  Adorable in his Stingray Rashguard Onesie.

November 3, 2014 - 112 Days Old

Kadin's first commercial plane trip. Wow, take-off is a lot louder than in Mama D's Pacer!

Kadin was fascinated by all of the people on the plane and smiled at them all.

In between recovering from Halloween, seeing appointments, and packing for Hawaii, I didn't get a picture of Kadin today.  But here's two from a few days ago (Oct 28th).

Happy Halloween!

Thanks to Grandma Baiba for supplying Kadin's first Halloween costume (from a thrift store, no less - which makes it an even bigger Thanks Mom!).  It's a beautifully warm green pea but inside it was heated and he had to be completely naked underneath his outfit (except for his diaper, of course).

We plan to use it all winter too, as his sleeping bag/pod.

Good Morning!  My fingers (and entire fist if I try hard enough) taste pretty good after I spit up my formula all over them.  Mmmm, yummy!

Kind of a boring picture day for Kadin.... but in reality, he got to hang out with a bunch of clients and their pets today.  He loves watching Mama J work with doggies and loves it even more when random clients hold him and feed him!

Kadin got two vaccines today and although he cried a bit, he was smiling again as we left the office.  

However, that night he had a mild fever and was super fussy and needed a bit extra lovin' to get to sleep.  Of course, it didn't affect his appetite at all!

October 26, 2014 - 104 Days Old

What an angel.  Seriously, I always thought calling babies "precious" was so cheesy and then suddenly here I am, thinking to myself, "how precious..."  Ha. 

Kadin doesn't mind sharing his changing table with Eleanor and both appear to be equally mesmerized by the mobiles hanging above them.  Eleanor already attacked several of the hanging leaves and birch bark.

Kadin is now laughing!  It's the cutest, dorkiest laugh and I hope to get a video soon...

Now when Kadin sees the camera, he gets this frozen deer-in-the-headlights look.

Started the day with a call out to vaccinate a dog team - with Kadin observing everything.

Then, we hopped in the plane and headed over near Curry Ridge for an afternoon hike.

Kadin looked around for a while but soon fell asleep, snuggled in his cozy little frontpack. 

It was a gorgeous day on the tundra, and time to go home for dinner.

It was Pediatrics night at our EMT refresher meeting and although I didn't get a photo of anyone ausculting Kadin's heart, here he is socializing with some folks closer to his age for a change.

Kadin's favorite past-time lately is to blow bubbles while flapping his lips, raspberry style.  Too cute! He even does it when he is chillin' by himself.

Mobilandia may be a bit random and chaotic but Kadin is entertained for sure.  One is my homemade creation, one is a beautiful gift from my neighbor Laura, and one is a fun and creative gift from Grandma Baiba, accentuated with the treasures of the forest.
