After swimming, Kadin chilled in the sunny grass by the trail while we packed up the bikes to ride home.  My little mountain man…

Naked napping has its risks (see previous post), but it sure is sweet.

July 15 - 21, 2015 - 1 year and 1 week

I am now switching to weekly posts…

Here are a few more shots from our trip into the Talkeetna Mountains.  We only spent one night out in the tent as the next night was forecasted crazy heavy rain and wind.  It still rained on us, but just intermittent showers, and sure enough, that next night, we could here the horizontal rain pounding the walls of the "nubbin" cabin.

Summary of the trip:  Kadin loves the tundra, especially the blueberries.  He also knows to crawl into the tent when it starts raining!

July 14, 2015 - 1 YEAR OLD!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KADIN!!!!!!!

We picked up a piece of yummy vegan cashew mango coconut "cheesecake" from The Flying Squirrel Bakery and then flew out to Danial's cabin and picked blueberries for a while before heading in for dinner and to celebrate.  Yum!!

July 13, 2015 - 11 Months, 29 Days Old

Kadin helps unload the dogs in the back of the truck.  Buck is still obsessed with his hands, the other two are just wondering why they can't jump out yet and run in the woods.  Kadin is wondering why he can't ride in the back, where the cool kids ride.

July 12, 2015 - 11 Months, 28 Days Old

I think Danial has a photo of Kadin from today but it's blurry and not so great, so I'll post another one from a different day…
Here's one of my favorites, not sure why exactly.

And here is the one from Danial.  At least I don't have to call today a "no photo day!"

July 11, 2015 - 11 Months, 27 Days Old

Another noodle day, this time regular spaghetti at home.  

Notice that Buck had to be tied to the couch to keep him from sticking his nose up and begging for Kadin's noodles.

July 10, 2015 - 11 Months, 26 Days Old

Yummy!  We stopped by Payo's Thai Food place and Kadin enjoyed his pad thai noodles and tofu, although he wasn't sure why I kept shoving these little sticks into his mouth! 

There was a little water fountain there and of course, Kadin had to play in it.  He loves hearing the sound of running water and can't resist sticking his fingers in it.

July 9, 2015 - 11 Months, 25 Days Old

Fun day in the sun, and after the water warmed up all day, we jumped in and climbed up and down the slide, over and over again.  In the first pic, Kadin was just getting into the water and found it still a bit chilly to his liking.  

July 8, 2015 - 11 Months, 24 Days Old

Woo Hoo!! We had a mellow day, doing chores and laundry, when suddenly, in the evening, Kadin changes everything and starts WALKING!!!!!!

So, I got the very very first steps on stills - I was trying to just get a photo of him standing, so I moved the little car out of my way and as I went to take the photo, he looked up at me and then started walking towards me!  I love his facial expressions as he's moving along!

July 7, 2015 - 11 Months, 23 Days Old

Busy day working, and was super happy to have both Heather and Angelo around during the day to help with the craziness.

July 6, 2015 - 11 Months, 22 Days Old

Phew!  We were all feeling a bit better today and it was a gorgeous, albeit hot, day.  First we visited Mama D at TAT and while Kadin napped below us, we managed a few rounds of ping pong.  I'm a bit embarassed to say she kicked my butt.  

Once he woke up, Kadin and I went downtown for a nice and healthy smoothie from Conscious Coffee.  Yum!

July 5, 2015 - 11 Months, 21 Days Old

Still recovering from our colds, both Kadin and I were tired and grumpy most of the day, so no big photo shoots today.  I was soon napping alongside him!

July 4, 2015 - 11 Months, 20 Days Old

Not a very exciting 4th of July.  We were both snotty and tired and laid low most of the day.  Soon after this, Kadin napped for 3 hours.  At least he could still smile despite the snot and sleepiness and congestion.

July 3, 2015 - 11 Months, 19 Days Old

Oh what a day!  I was sick as a dog and a bit slow to head upstairs after Kadin woke up from his diaper-free nap.  Ooops.  He got a little bored, and you can bet that's not chocolate on his face!  I think it's blurry because I was laughing so hard.

I was exhausted from the cold but mustered up the energy to pack all the poopy sheets, pillow cases, clothes, baby gates, and baby and we all headed to the station for some clean up!

July 2, 2015 - 11 Months, 18 Days Old

July 1, 2015 - 11 Months, 17 Days Old

Another no photo day.  Had to head into town for errands and appointments.  Kadin was sick so we had to cancel daycare and he helped Danial do some electrical work on the new house but no documention of it. 

This photo is one a client took of us a couple of days later.
